The Plott Hound is a strong, muscular dog known for its determination and exceptional tracking ability. Originally bred in the United States for hunting boar, this breed is highly energetic, intelligent, and has a keen sense of smell. Plott Hounds are loyal and protective, making them excellent working dogs and guard dogs. While they are independent and have a strong prey drive, they are also affectionate with their families and can be good with children when properly socialized.
